How To Use Remington IPL At-home 

The Remington hair removal system is very easy to use. Follow these steps and read the instructions carefully before using the device: 

1. Shave the area you are going to treat using the device. As shaving is very important to get effective hair removal results. Make sure you remove all hair that is above the skin. 
2. Test if the skin for the area you are going to treat is suitable for Remington IPL. place the skin tone sensor -which is located at the button of Remington- against your skin. 
3. Remington device will switch on and beep if your skin tone is suitable for the IPL used. While it will bud and won’t switch on if you have a dark skin tone. 
4. Normally, the device is set to the lowest energy when you switch it on. You can change it to a higher energy level to maximize your laser hair removal results. 
5. The device has 5 energy settings. Choose the highest energy level that you can tolerate to get faster results. If you found that the treatment is painful to your skin tone, use a lower energy setting instead. 
6. Continue your IPL treatment by placing the device against the area you are treating so the flash window coves the skin. The device emits light when the two contact sensors are pressed against the skin surface. 
7. Continue pressing the flash button while moving the device for one area to avoid until you treat the whole surface of the area you are treating.

Who can use Remington IPL? 

iLIGHT Ultra is effective in treating light blonde to medium brown skin colors. Don’t use Remington IPL if you have darker skin to avoid burns and skin inflammation. You can use ilight Ultra only if your hair color is from medium blonde to black hair color. Sadly, if you have orange, light brown, or grey hair this device won’t be effective for you. 

Don’t direct the Remington hair removal system towards moles, freckles, or tattoos to avoid skin irritation and burns. 

We don’t recommend using this device for treating men’s facial hair and neck. It won’t be effective and might cause burns or irritation. If you still want to use it for man’s face, consult your doctor first for your own safety 

How often should I use Remington ILIght PRo+? 

For treating your face body, it is recommended to use the device once every 2 weeks for the first 3 sessions. After you notice a difference in hair reduction, it is enough to use the device once every month or every 2 months according to the results. If you didn’t see results after 3 sessions, be patient and continue treating the area every 2 weeks until you get the desired results. 

The frequency of using the device depends on the results. However, you shouldn’t use the device if you feel pain or burn.
